Job description
The Oregon Supreme Court is primarily a court of review in that it reviews the decisions of the Court of Appeals in selected cases. The Supreme Court usually selects cases with significant legal issues calling for interpretation of laws or legal principles affecting many citizens and institutions of society.
Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be a citizen of the United States, have resided in the State at least three years next preceding their election, and after their election must reside in their respective districts. Mandatory retirement age of 75.
